It's back! – Taquería Guadalajara, 1033 S. Park St., which closed earlier this year due to a fire, is reopening Aug. 8 with a new paint job (sorry, no more pink), remodeled interior and a revised, expanded menu. There will be two free tacos for everybody coming to the reopening day, with mariachi music from 4 to 8 pm.
House specials include parrillada for four (tableside grill of traditional meats and cactus) and somewhat pared-down versions of platillo mi rancho and platillo Guadalajara. Hours are 9 am-
10 pm Tuesday-Thursday, 9 am-11 pm Friday, 9 am-11 pm Saturday and 9 am-10 pm Sunday.
Expanded hours – Cortadito Express, 418 E. Wilson St., had expanded its hours to include lunch. New hours are 11 am-11:30 pm Tuesday-Thursday, 11 am-3 am Friday, 10 am-3 am Saturday and 10 am-midnight Sunday.
