What Isthmus means to me

I am so happy to have Isthmus back in print, back in action. The paper makes a difference in our community. You know us, and you have been a part of our community for a long time. That can make a big difference in the type of coverage local issues receive, and ,how in depth the articles are. So many times, a well written article can help an issue get some much needed wind in its sails. Our community is facing some hefty challenges. A healthy mix of reporting on those challenges, and , what we can do in our community to enjoy and celebrate each other is just what we need. Thank you

Concerned about this week's cover

Hello-- The current "Top Dog" for toppling Soglin cover is offensive. It looks very much to me that you've put Ms.Pettaway in straight up-blackface. This feels very wrong, and very old, and Mr. Rocco and the editors should have realized this viscerally, immediately and kept working rather than printing this.
