UP: Dan Johnson: Johnson is the recipient of the seventh annual Jeffrey C. Erlanger award. He served on the city's Economic Development Commission and Commission on People with Disabilities. He was also the longtime physical disabilities coordinator for the state Department of Health and Family Services and has been a foster parent to 20. Johnson "has made a difference in so many lives in our community, state, and even our nation," said Mayor Paul Soglin.
DOWN: Taylor Palmisano: The deputy finance director for Gov. Scott Walker's reelection campaign gets the boot after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports she posted derogatory comments about undocumented Latinos on her Twitter account. Palmisano also brought unwanted national attention to Walker for penning a fundraising letter in which she urged supporters to donate to his campaign rather than buy their children "electronics or toys that will undoubtedly be outdated, broken, or lost by the next holiday season." Who needs the youth and Latino vote anyway?
