UP: Drew Birrenkott, Samuel Greene. Two Wisconsin students are among 32 selected as Rhodes scholars, with expenses paid to study at Oxford University. Birrenkott, of McFarland, is currently a senior at UW-Madison, studying biomedical engineering, biochemistry and political science. Greene is from Spring Green and studies chemistry and physics at the University of Chicago.
DOWN: Unions. Two public-sector unions, one representing prison guards and another teachers, are unable to get enough votes from members to recertify under the state's new Act 10 guidelines.
