UP: Food for Kidz. A food charity based in Waunakee assembles its one-millionth bag of rice, soy flour and dried vegetables on Sunday. The group, which has operated for seven years, sends the food packets to impoverished families around the world and locally.
DOWN: Voting intimidators. The state's Government Accountability Board refuses to change voting procedures, including one that requires election observers to stay at least six feet away from poll workers, much to the dismay of those who advocate for "voter fraud" protections. GAB attorney Mike Haas urged the board to keep the rules in place: "This is going to be, we feel, a contentious voting period." Can't imagine where he got that idea.
