DOWN: Joseph Freed and Associates. The company eying a $175 million redevelopment of Hilldale Mall meets with a standing-room-only crowd of disgruntled neighborhood residents. Some fear that increased traffic to the mixed-use commercial and residential complex will obstruct pedestrian and bicycle access. Others say there's too little greenspace and too many condos. A spokesman for Freed and Associates vows that the company will take these criticisms into consideration.
