UP: Green Bay Packers. The Packers salvaged a lackluster season with a last-minute victory over the Chicago Bears. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, back from an injury, tosses a 48-yard winning touchdown pass to Randall Cobb. Rodgers tells reporters: "This is a special group of guys who've been through a lot." He means the fans, right?
DOWN: Legislators. Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) tells the Associated Press that the Senate doesn't have the votes to pass a Republican bill, already approved by the Assembly, that would double the amount people can donate to political campaigns. Because of that, the Senate won't vote on the proposal. "It would take some significant changes for that bill to make it to the floor," Fitzgerald says.
