UP: Madison nonprofits. The Madison Community Foundation is giving $25,000 to the Urban League of Greater Madison for workforce and degree training programs; $150,000 to the Madison Children's Museum for a children's art gallery; and $100,000 to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul to finish its new center at Fish Hatchery Road.
DOWN: Schoolchildren. A report by the Associated Press finds that schools in all 50 states, including 98 in Wisconsin, had drinking water with unsafe levels of lead, pesticides and other toxins. Roughly one in every five schools with its own water supply violates the Safe Drinking Water Act.
