The state's Equal Rights Division finds probable cause to believe Julia Landrum, a former employee at the UW-Madison's fertility clinic, was fired in retaliation for complaining about sexual harassment. An ERD report says Landrum was subjected to inappropriate sexual banter "on a regular basis and it affected her ability to perform her job." The case now goes to an administrative law judge.

A fundraiser with live and silent auctions brings in more than $10 million for the Madison Children's Museum. Real estate developer Nate Brand makes the highest donation of the night, $250,000, and will get to name the 1838 log cabin moved to the museum. How about "Nate's Place"?

The first Centurion cycling race is shortened from 100 to 50 miles due to thunderstorms and heavy rain. The race began in Middleton and went through Dane and Iowa counties. Of the 1,100 riders who registered, only 701 showed up.

The MATC Part-Time Teachers Union, representing about 1,200 employees, sues the community college over a new course assignment system it says will put many members out of work. The new policy allows full-time faculty to take overtime - up to 40% of a regular load - before work is assigned to part-timers.
A search warrant unveiled in Dane County Circuit Court reveals that prosecutors are considering charging an unnamed accomplice of Gregory Bickford, an armed robber killed by police last October, with felony murder. The charge can be filed when a death occurs while committing a crime. The man allegedly told police he drove Bickford to the scene of the crime.
Ismael Ozanne is sworn in as Dane County's new district attorney, filling the seat of Brian Blanchard, who was elected to the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Ozanne is the state's first black DA.
Robert D. Rickaby, 23, of Portage, is arrested for allegedly groping three women downtown.

The state releases an audit showing that Michael McClure, an attorney with the Division of Gaming, was paid $26,300 in mileage to commute to Madison from his home in Chicago since 2003. McClure has worked for the state since 1989 but moved to Chicago in 2001.
Madison police arrest Odin Alejandro Robledo-Hernandez and Jose Luis Bedolla-Calderon for first-degree sexual assault after they allegedly pulled a 23-year-old woman into a building on Dayton Street, choked and assaulted her.

The Wisconsin Realtors Association reports that homes sales climbed 19.4% during the second quarter of 2010 compared to last year and that prices have remained stable. Hooray.
