Capitol Police continued their crackdown of the Solidarity Sing Along in the Rotunda on Thursday, arresting around two dozen people who participated in the noontime protest. This latest round of arrests started Wednesday, with people being given $200.50 fines for assembling with "no permit."
The daily assembly started in the Rotunda on March 11, 2011. The arrests have so far only increased attendance at the demonstration. Hundreds of people attended and observed on Thursday, and numerous media outlets, including Isthmus, were on hand to cover it.
