Mysterious aliens known as the Chimera have conquered Asia and most of Europe. You are a U.S. Army Ranger who links up with the British Resistance. Of course, all is not what it seems.
Gameplay is solid in this first-person shooter. The control scheme is fairly intuitive, allowing you to jump right into some heated firefights without a lot of needless fumbling around. The game also does a nice job of utilizing the motion-sensing capabilities of the PS3's six-axis controllers.
Each of Resistance's 20 levels feels unique. The art design is fantastic, as is the replayability factor. In other words, the game is a real winner. The ending suggests a possible sequel, so unless you want to be the uncool kid who's not in the know, check this one out now.
