One week ago today on Friday, Jan. 12, the informal bluegrass assemblage known as Whiskey Friday put on their last hootenanny in a house on the near east side of Madison. Claiming membership in a variety of other groups (including the Trails End String Band, the Lonesome Rogues, and the Cajun Strangers), this assemblage of pickers, pluckers, and singers performed an American classic for posterity.
