If you've ever rolled down the windows and sung along with Veruca Salt in heavy traffic or wished you could hear Bikini Kill again for the first time, Dog Party's about to become your new favorite band. The Giles sisters have been making pop-punk music together since they were 6 and 9 (they're now 14 and 17), and it's raucous, fun and genuine as hell. Even the longing "Alright" has wisdom beyond the years of its lyricists, but never do the duo stray into the realm of self-indulgence. Rip off half your shirt, cut your bangs crooked, jump on your bed, and grab your air guitar, because even though "The World Is Not a Game" (according to track 12), that doesn't mean we can't make time to play.
