May 4: Building Youth Resilience through Agriculture
Speaker: Lusayo Mwakatika
My presentation is about my work on building youth resilience through Agriculture. I will be talking about how we are challenging the status quo and bringing more young people into Agriculture to increase innovation and ensure the sustainability of the agricultural sector in Malawi.
Lusayo Mwakatika, is Business Development Officer for ACADES Malawi. ACADES is a social enterprise empowering youths through agriculture in Malawi. Lusayo has a degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also the former president of Project Malawi, a student organization on campus working to fundraise for different causes in Malawi. Lusayo also likes playing soccer and doing stand-up comedy in his free time.
The Africa at Noon series will take place virtually this semester until further notice. All are welcome. This event will take place on Zoom. Spring semester info:
