media release: Returning for its third year, Lakefront Live will bring a unique summer experience to the Memorial Union Terrace: a lake-facing concert to be enjoyed from paddlecraft and watercraft. The Madison-based band The Material Boys will play facing Lake Mendota, performing for an audience on the water.
Patrons are encouraged to make advance reservations for rental kayaks and stand-up paddleboards through Outdoor UW. The $16 discounted rental covers the entire three-hour concert, and no experience is necessary. Audience members may also utilize their own watercraft or enjoy the concert from a sunburst chair on the Terrace.
