New Year's festivities often start out with a culinary celebration, with Madison restaurants preparing for the long night and morning with special menus, buffets, and all sorts of feasting opportunities. Reservations are a good idea, though, and in some cases essential, and there's not much time remaining before the fun begins. But whether or not food is on the menu this weekend, the revelry will continue well into Sunday, with some three dozen different parties around town detailed in this New Year's preview.
