The Associated Press reports that the state Department of Natural Resources wants federal wildlife officials to watch hunters skin wolves killed this fall. The aim would be to see if using dogs in hunts results in vicious dog-wolf battles, as animal rights activists claim.
The UW System announces it is creating a 21-member task force to address sexual violence and harassment.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports that developer Curt Brink has revised plans for Archipelago Village on the 900 block of East Washington on the former Mautz Paint property. Brink originally proposed a $250 million, 27-story tower but has scaled back his plan to 12 to 14 stories. The project will include housing, retail and parking.

The latest Marquette Law School poll finds Gov. Scott Walker leading Democratic challenger Mary Burke 50%-45% among likely voters. Pollster Charles Franklin calls it a modest change but notes Walker's lead is greater than the margin of error. "This still qualifies as a very close race," says Franklin.
