DWD determined that Dan Bethards, who worked for the Division of Criminal Justice, should get a hearing before an administrative law judge.

The State Journal reports that Wisconsin Carry, a gun-rights advocacy group, intends to challenge Madison's ban on weapons on Metro buses. The challenge is based on the 2011 state law that allows people with permits to carry concealed weapons. The city argues that courts have given operators of both private and public vehicles the power to restrict the transportation of weapons.

The State Journal reports that Dane County officials are confident its new three-million gallon biodigester in Springfield -- currently being loaded with cow poop -- has enough safeguards to prevent spills. A biodigester in Waunakee leaked 300,000 gallons of manure last month.
