On July 16, the Wisconsin Supreme Court ended the controversial secret John Doe investigation, which had been looking at allegations that Gov. Scott Walker illegally coordinated campaign activity with independent conservative groups. In its 4-to-2 decision the court ordered all copies of records gathered in the investigation to be destroyed. In this week’s Isthmus, Bill Lueders reports that this is a highly unusual order.
